Amateur Radio Club holds a Field Day | Events
The TRYON Amateur Radio Club will participate in Field Day June 22 at 1 p.m.
This 24 hour event will demonstrate emergency capabilities of “ham” amateur radio operators.
Club members will be located in Meyer’s Park and the public is invited to see ham radio’s capabilities and learn how they help each community.
“From the earthquake and tsunami in Japan to tornados in Missouri and Oklahoma, ham radio provides the most reliable communication networks in the first critical hours of all these events…” said president, Don Gifford.
