HFM BOCES to host Career and Technical Education Open House

HFM BOCES to host Career and Technical Education Open House

People interested in learning how high school juniors and seniors can be job ready and college ready by graduation can attend the Career and Technical Education Open House scheduled for Thursday, March 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.

According to the HFM BOCES website, they will open their doors to prospective students, their parents and the community to showcase programs and student work. The open house will give parents a chance to ask questions and discuss coursework with their child’s instructors and gain a better knowledge of the BOCES programs.

“It’s not like students can bring home the technology and equipment from their classrooms and say, ‘See what I did in school today,’” said BOCES Counselor Kathleen Daly on the HFM BOCES website. “Our programs immerse teens in an environment equipped with the tools and technology they will use in the field and seeing that first hand helps people understand the value and relevance of the curriculum.”
